This Cookie Policy explains how ClickTools (clicktools.app) and, where applicable, third parties use cookies and similar storage technologies when you visit our website.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website or its partners store in your browser. Related technologies — such as localStorage, sessionStorage, and pixels — serve similar purposes: remembering preferences, keeping sessions alive, and measuring how a site is used.
2. What ClickTools itself stores
We are unusually light on storage by design. The site sets no first-party cookies at all. The only browser storage we use is a single localStorage key:

This entry contains no personal data, is never transmitted to our servers, and cannot be used to track you across sites. If you delete it, the site simply falls back to your operating system's light/dark preference.
3. Third-party advertising cookies
ClickTools may display advertising to support free access to the tools. Where advertising is served — for example by Google AdSense — the vendor and its partners may set cookies or use similar technologies to:
- serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites;
- limit how many times you see the same ad and measure ad performance;
- detect and filter invalid traffic (ad fraud).
Google's use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com, and manage many third-party vendor preferences at aboutads.info/choices. Where required by law (for example, in the EEA/UK), consent is requested before non-essential advertising cookies are set, and you may withdraw it at any time via the consent interface shown in your region.
4. Analytics
We deliberately run no third-party behavioural analytics. If we later adopt privacy-respecting, aggregate-only measurement, this policy and our homepage will say so plainly — with no silent additions.
5. Controlling cookies in your browser
- All major browsers let you view, delete and block cookies in their privacy settings.
- Blocking all cookies may affect some websites you visit, but our own tools will continue to function: their core logic runs entirely in your browser.
- To remove our single preference entry, clear site data for clicktools.app in your browser settings.
6. Do Not Track
There is no industry consensus on how websites should respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. Because we set no tracking cookies of our own, there is nothing for us to disable; for third-party ad personalisation, the opt-out mechanisms in section 3 are the effective control.
